Lo’ihi: Hawaii’s Newest Island

In our Plate Boundary Notes we learned what a hotspot Volcano is. In this article titled, “Lo’ihi: Hawaii’s Newest Island” you will learn about the newest island that is forming over the hotspot. 


Instructions: You will need two sheets of loose leaf notebook paper, scissors, a glue stick, and a highlighter.

Make sure to check out some of the hotspot volcanoes in Hawaii on Google Earth. like Mauna Kea, Mauna Loa, Kilauea, Hualalai, and Kohala.
